What is The Lost Haven?
A: The Lost Haven is a gaming community for those that are looking for a group of friendly people to game with, chat with, and have a good time with, this is the place, because we are a community of friends who play games.
What kind of people belong in the community?
A: What we're aiming for is a cooperative group of players. We expect our members to be intelligent and responsible. Intelligent does not mean knowing a game inside and out, we welcome members who are new to our games or new to the internet. It does, however, mean that we expect a certain level of maturity, decorum, and wisdom.
What kinds of activity are prohibited?
A: PKers, hackers, cheaters, dupers, griefers, etc. These are things that we don't like around here. Past experimentation does not preclude you from the community, but such things are forbidden here, and are taken very seriously, because they detract from the fun of the games for everyone.
What kind of games do you play here?
A: Pretty much any and every game, though some games are more active than others. Our main presences are in Lord of the Rings Online, Guild Wars and World of Warcraft. However, we have had presences in many games over the years, so if you feel like introducing a new game to the community, chances are there will be some interest!
What about MMORPG's?
A: We have an official presence in three MMORPGs. Lord of the Rings Online, Guild Wars and World of Warcraft. Our presence in these games is not what one would call "huge", but there is usually someone playing.
Who is in charge of what?
A: The main Admins are UsYr Illus, Xpovos and Reaver Xalson. Any questions should be directed to them. UsYr is the head forum administrator, and has final say on almost everything. Xpovos is available for basic questions, including those to do with coding on the site. Reaver is also an admin on the website, and good at coding.
Other admins are assigned on a game-by-game basis.
Are there any sort of time commitments? Do I need to play X hours a week or anything?
A: Not at all. I always thought that requirements like that were rather silly.
