  • Reaver : It couldn't add up to a dollar either Mr. Green
  • Sir Fatal : wow, that last one really didn't make any cents.
  • Sir Fatal : hmm... that was more like a poem than a pun, but it makes up for the time i've missed. (and the rocks i've schist.)
  • Sir Fatal : xmas?!? well, hoe hoe hoe! (just doing a little gardening before the christmas season.)I've got money to spend, and rules to bend, so grab a friend and get your rear end to the mall! Because christmas time's the time for all! For fun, for puns, and it's the time after fall! Yes, the leaves on the trees are catching the breeze and riding home free into winter. Ow! I got a splinter.
  • Reaver : Can we get back to puns? I don't want to hear about the spending season.
  • Aoife Fios : Only 150 or so posting days till Xmas.
  • Aoife Fios : Darn, don't think I can wait that long.
  • Reaver : about 5'ish over here...
  • Aoife Fios : When's dinner?
  • Reaver : mmmmm, some pork fried rice sounds good right now.
  • Aoife Fios : Don't you mean Chow Yun Fat?
  • Xpovos : Call up Jet Li, and DMZ and let them know I've got a killer movie idea!
  • Aoife Fios : Indeed, from the cradle to the gravey, out of the fat and into the fire.
  • Xpovos : If life serves up grease, make gravy?
  • Mat Cauth : Can you make gravey out of it?
  • Aoife Fios : Sorry, Mat, Greesee has a Fatal condition.
  • Mighty Rabbi : Hey sorry to interrupt puns but for all interested Starcraft II has a downloadable client up now.
  • Mat Cauth : Well if that's all you have to say maybe Greesee should weigh in.
  • Aoife Fios : Oh my lard.
  • Mat Cauth : With all these puns I'm in hog heaven.
  • Aoife Fios : Casting perls before twine, are we?
  • Mat Cauth : That one was such a pearl it had me in stitches.
  • Reaver : yea, but he can sure spin a yarn.
  • Mat Cauth : I guess we can't pull the wool over your eyes, can we.
  • Xpovos : We're rapidly heading from puns to Swifties.
  • Aoife Fios : He said sheepishly.
  • Aoife Fios : Bleats me.
  • Mighty Rabbi : Why doesn't Mighty have pants?
  • Xpovos : No, Aoife, it's moo, not baa. Don't ewe understand?
  • Aoife Fios : baaah.
  • Reaver : I love MoO... and MoM. I need to check this out.
  • Xpovos : DOSBox is a DOS x86 emulator. MoO is Master of Orion, pretty much the definitive 4x space IP. MoOII (Master of Orion 2) is a practically perfect game. Even UsYr agrees to this.
  • Mat Cauth : err...is that a cow game or something? I don't know what MoO is (either 1 or 2)let alone what DOSBox means......I'm such a light-weight Neutral
  • Xpovos : Sure, why not. Here's a real topic: I purchased a copy of MoO 1+2 over at Good Old Games (www.gog.com). Why? I already owned them both. Because: At $6, it was too easy. They both run great on my Win7 machine via DOSBox and as an added bonus, they made the multiplayer work! Who's up for some 4x goodness?
  • Aoife Fios : So we're branching out into new topics? Turning over a new leaf?
  • Reaver : We can tell you had to go out on a limb for that one.
  • Mat Cauth : I've tried for 3 days to come up with something to say to that. Sadly, I'm stumped. (tree pun)
  • Aoife Fios : It's actually a porcupine that grows on trees.
  • Tanis : i thought it was like a poison berry. Look at those thorns!
  • Aoife Fios : I did know that the pineapple was neither pine or apple. What kind of berry? A blueberry?
  • Mat Cauth : Did you know: The pineapple is a really big berry.
  • Mat Cauth : Is this an out-of-body experience?
  • Tanis : my typing lags, the pages lag when scrolling, slow to load etc. Only since we switched to .php (which was a long time ago)
  • Aoife Fios : Or a flummox of freds. Or a bagatelle of barneys.
  • Mat Cauth : Is that similar to a bevy of bambam's?
  • Aoife Fios : Ah, a probability of pebbles.
  • Reaver : eh? How so?
  • Tanis : These forums always lag me hard. d'ya know that!?
  • Mat Cauth : Unless you're at Pebble Beach....then you could take forever.
  • Aoife Fios : Leave no stone unthrown.

"Still A Shining Beacon Of Hope.”

This is The Lost Haven’s philosophy. We endeavor to achieve this by maintaining a community of family-friendly, mature, dedicated gamers. This community exists not only in-game, but also on our forums where members can form and maintain friendships without the restrictions of any particular game.

The Lost Haven was founded in May 2004 and went public to the gaming world in June of the same year. We have been a registered guild in Guild Wars since the first Beta World Event. Since then, we have also established a presence in World of Warcraft, though at this time there is on 'official' presence . Recently, we expanded again with the formation of a Fellowship in Lord of the Rings: Online on the Brandywine server. Aside from these major games, there is also some occasional activity in other games, and even some PnP RPGs.

If this is the kind of family community you would feel at home in and you think you would like to become a member of this community, feel free to drop in an application. We accept anyone who fits our criteria for friendliness, obeys our zero-tolerance policy on cheating, and doesn’t mind that we don’t power level. We have no age or play-time requirements. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation are definite bonuses and, since we have several international members, l33t-speak is discouraged.

So if you’re a gamer looking for a home filled with friendly, mature, helpful people, stop into our application forum and drop in your application. We look forward to meeting you and hopefully welcoming you into the community.
